Bang, zoom, rung bells, road gators, and the cartoon stars

More on this later. Nighttime hit. Pretty sure it was a road gator. Simply a loud pop/bang, then everything was silent...at least till my ears started ringing. I never saw it coming. It wasn't on the road. I never saw a truck, but I might have forgotten that. My bell was rung pretty solidly. I couldn't see for about 3 hours after the strike...other than red and white flashes, streaks and lines, and friggen cartoon stars (like, Bugs Bunny cartoon stars...they're not making that stuff up!) The story is to follow...I'll write it up when I'm done hunting down and killing all those animated stars that are happily flitting and dancing about the house (in time with the music no less!) If they start singing, I'm getting out the shotgun.

Other than some very deep scratches, the windshield is in pretty good shape. These are very tough, but flexible. I think it just bent over and let it right by.

Caught me square in the face, chin, and top of head. Twisted my head right and back. My neck still hurts. In 600,000+ miles nothing has come closer to unseating me.

As you can see, I don't take kindly to things trying to unseat me from my motorcycle. I did lose my hold, but not before nearly pulling the grip off. I also had to readjust the handlebars.

There'd be pictures of the visor and the clear ANSI glasses I was wearing...but they are just plain gone.

Y'all ride safe...
