Fever Broken!

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

After several rounds of intravenous antibiotics, Dragon’s Mom’s fever broke yesterday afternoon. She is feeling and looking better, and in good spirits.

Her arm is stuffed in a mesh stocking-looking thing and they have it tied to a pole above her head to promote drainage. The swelling is markedly reduced and the ugly streaks are gone. They may release her as early as this afternoon.

The amusing thing is that the hospital is busy…with very few free beds…so they have her in the children’s wing…complete with painted animals and cartoon figures on the walls.

It suites her.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. It does help.

For tonight? Probably back to your regularly scheduled house destruction…ur…repair. More exterior painting/caulking to do!

The best gift a mother could ever have is to have a son who loves her as much as you love me. By the way, I canceled my annual chicken order today. I do listen/read/pay attention sometimes!
