The Mom Report…

Got a call last night…I said it when the phone rang…
“That can’t be good.”
Yep. Not good, that is. Of course it seldom is…with me and phones anyway.
Mom was admitted to the hospital with pancreatitis.
Not sure of the progress or treatment at this moment…I’m a couple hundred miles away unfortunately.

Pushin’ up the grades in the DISD

Ah yes. Edumacation. Heh. Sheesh.
Yesterday the Dallas Independent School District upheld their policy that makes a 50% the minimum grade.
Should a student not even turn in any work, they still earn a 50% grade on that assignment/test/project.
50% for NO effort. Half credit for zero work.
Yeah, that’ll prepare them for life.
