I’m in a great mood today.
Spirit’s lifted, cares swept away…
Why? Well, in no particular order (an “order” would be irrelevant as the factors all address a different side of my being).
–Mom’s feeling better. She’s a tough lady…that one. I’d say something about tough old birds but she’d kick my butt clean into next week.
–Today [...]

They took out her gallbladder. Surgery went well (laparoscopic so the recovery time should be short).
She’ll have to change the way she eats, but should recover fully.
On my way down to see her in an hour or so.
Y’all be safe!

Got a call last night…I said it when the phone rang…
“That can’t be good.”

Note:
This is an older post…I found it in my journal…it’s actually from 2005…but it pretty much sums up the way the current holiday season has been going…work and personal life included. Brad was dynamic and [...]

The wife and I are coming up on to 16 years of marriage this month.
Anniversaries are cause for reflection…for examination…for both looking back and looking forward.
Good times, difficult times, joys and sorrows. All can be recalled and remembered. Where do they fit? What was their impact? How do they influence the overall life? How [...]

I’ve been tasked with looking for an inexpensive used car for my nephew Tyler. His grandfather (my father) is footing the bill for this one, and the intent is for it to get him through college. I really hope Tyler appreciates it.
Hmmm…I hope Tyler appreciates me too…I’ve spent a bunch of time researching and looking [...]

So, what is this? World’s biggest hockey puck? Extreme cheese wheeling (my favorite suggestion!)? A giant valve shim of an XS11? Well, the answers are here.

I left work Friday afternoon and went to Rusk…well, about 10 miles east of Rusk actually…which is 40 miles south of Tyler and 130 miles from my home.
