Here's some pics of a weekend run wifey Dar and I organised for the Alberta chapter back in May.
Dan may recognise Mike and Tom, there were more I'm sure that you have met at Inzanes' of past. Mike got the iron butt award at Inzane 2010, 5000km round trip !

Sooo...Saturday, September 11...

Stew cookoff at the fairgrounds in Clarksville, Texas...$4 gets you a bowl
(fund raising to pay for the Red River county fair), and you get to wander
around to all the different booths and sample as many as 25 different
stews.

I vowed (VOWED I TELL YA!) last year to try them all and despite doing my
best, well, I failed. Nobody understood when I held out the bowl and said,
"Just a little please."

"Sure thing" they said as "Bloop" goes an entire ladle full into the bowl.

The FIFTEEN I did manage to try were outstanding.

I don't have a stew in the event...this year...but I will some year soon!

Bowls for the "all you can eat" stew supper will go on sale at 4:30 p.m.
and serving will begin at 5 p.m. The cost will be $4 for adults, $3 for
youth, and $1 for drinks

I did my best last year to eat all I could...but I know when I'm in over
my head.

I sure could use some help eatin' all this stew...

Clarksville is just a day run from a LOT of places.

I like the looks pretty well, & I like the do-dads.  I'm not sure about that "Polaris" word though.  Good thing I can't afford new bikes - don't really have to give it much thought in the end.

Yes, I am staying inside in the a/c! Was only 109 here Sunday!  Shocked

Bill and I are leaving for Cheyenne Thurs morning, for a little Harley forum get-together... guess we'll allow his Wing!
then drop by to visit his friends in Albuquerque, Deming and Hobbs, and one of my friends near Shiprock....
should be an interesting trip. We're also camping....hmmm....

He's used to flying from point A to point B, I'm going to stop and take lots of pics!
Putt...putt..... Trying to avoid freeways. Co has some great scenery.  Cheesy

I need to get back up there and take a few more pics of your town tower...
Take care and stay hydrated.

The summer heat is supposed to break tonight. Phew! Good thing! I’ve got stuff to do!

This picture was on the way back from the Old Vic Sunday (notice the temp):

No wonder I took a siesta that day!

Hey all,

Going to have to put a new tire on the front and noticed Fork Tube Seals leaking.  They want over $300 to tear it down and replace the seals?  Thinking about doing it myself, anything I need to watch for?  Have not tore into the front end or forks before.   Appreciate any info.....

Thanks,
JJames

For the less Moto Guzzi literate...
Convert is a model that guzzi made in the mid 70s. It has automatic transmission. This guy obviously put it on the 2004 cruiser and went for a test ride.  Grin
