The little goose likes to dump fuel in its oil... must be the harley fuel tap. And dellortos. Theyre crap imo.
Anyway, ordered a vacuum fuel valve for a chinese scooter (would get the xs11 octopus, but specials are hard to find in yurp) to sort that out.
The intermittent running was cured by a new set of points and capacitors... went for a late evening test ride around the block, resulting in a  Grin Grin Grin
