Dang, I always miss that part. I guess this is where you are suppose to put your firstest post, no? I tend to jump onto the fun stuff for me (machines) or whatever happens to cross my line of vision first.
Ok, so you are here. Now that I have your attention, no need in directing it elsewhere, you might get lost drifting thru all the possible distractions vying for your attention. So, I am Poncho. yup, thats what they.. my crew calls me. Well, my brother started it and now all the boys just picked it up. Me being in Texas and they are not, most likely envy me, I guess I earned it?
Why am I here? Good question. Like most things in my life, I just stumbled accross this place. From what I have read sofar, ya'll look a whole lot like me.. when I look in the mirror(s). Picture this at 60, "big stupid grin." Yup, that is what you look like. me too. I can own it.
How I got here? Now there is a better question. It goes like this; I just purchased a half dozen mc tires for several of my bikes and a pair for my brother (his bike) to the tune of "a sizeable chunck o' change". I did not bite for the rear tire for the "Red Bear'n" as it is a 200x16 and that metzler alone would cost $250 on sale!
OK, so I had seen a number of goldwings and a few other big bikes with car type tires. I had asked thier riders for some feedback and got minimal response; "they work fine.. go away." Well, it is not in me to just forget something once it has caught my attention. So I did some research and found this dragons lair. What a gold mine!
alright, I will cut it short and wrap this up. I am working diligently to wear out my tires on 3 bikes, not all at the same time, but 'pert near. So I can put the new rubbers that I shelled out good coin for. When I get to that Big Gun, I plan to squeeze a michelin 205-60R16 in there. 65 if I can find and fit it. In the meantime I have a lot of riding to get done. Hey, somebody has to do it. Those roads aren't gonna get rid all by themselves. I am up for the task, I think I can handle it. out, Ponch
