Thinking about trying a car tire on my scoot but... Update success!

Thanks poncho, I just found another possiibility.  It is 145/70-12 as opposed to the one I posted here which is 145/80-12.  It is about an inch smaller in diameter which should give me about a half inch clearance between the tire and the engine.

The new tire worked!  Tried it out on low and high speed turns and it is very good. Officially on the darkside now. :)

I owe you much Daniel.  Would never even thought about it if it weren't for your insights on it.  Thanks.  Will give and update on the ride after I run it for a few weeks but after my tests tonight I really think I will be sticking with it.  Only slight downside was a little squirrelyness coming up but it was very slight. Gonna play with the pressure a bit to see what I see.
